Need strength but desire comfort? This spade gives you both!
We build our drain spades to be the best in the business! We engineered this spade with a closed-back construction. We manufacture the blade using extra-thick 12-gauge steel. We apply a black powder-coat finish to make it resist both corrosion and the elements. Turned-down steps on the top of the blade feature pre-drilled holes for a foot pad (sold separately find them HERE).
We secure the blade to the handle using a double-rivet handle assembly. We equip this spade with a Tuff-Strong fiberglass handle and head connection. Unlike standard solid or hollow fiberglass, our fiberglass handles feature a honeycomb shape. This shape allows for a rigid feel with minimal flexing when in use. A thin surface coating of resin prevents splintering and provides UV-resistance.
At A.M. Leonard, we design all our tools to provide you with years of service. We are so confident in our drain spades that we back them with a lifetime warranty.
The long, narrow blade of this spade allows you to do more than just dig trenches. Use this versatile tool to transplant shrubs, roses, and small trees. Leonard Drain Spades give you the perfect blend of strength and comfort!
